Spa resorts is a fast rising industry in every part of the world. These destinations are sometimes part of a larger facility like a hotel. A big trend these days is the day spa, which is like a salon that offers all kinds of pampering treatments. These facilities offer everything you could ever want or need for the utmost in relaxation. At the most luxurious spas every detail has been carefully chosen to make your experience the best it can be.
The first thing you will notice when you enter a spa resort is the decor. Some spas go for cool tones of pristine white and ocean blue, while others choose a more earth toned color scheme. The number one thing about the decor at a spa resort is that it is appealing to the senses. There are often details like plants and flowers, water fountains, aromatherapy and music which create the perfect atmosphere in which to receive the treatments you've chosen for your time at the spa. Speaking of treatments, there are a wide range of options available at the average spa resort.
One popular type of treatment found at spa resorts and day spas is the massage. There are many different kinds of massages you can choose from. The most basic type would be a chair massage, which often focuses on only the neck and upper back area. Another type of massage that many resorts offer is the Swedish Shiatsu combination. The Swedish massage features broad, sweeping strokes while the Shiatsu is a deep tissue treatment that can sometimes be a bit uncomfortable but worth it. There are also various other massages including those that use aromatherapy and hot stones.
Spa resorts also offer a wide array of other treatments as well, including body wraps, scrubs, manicures, pedicures, facials, waxing and more. If you're really looking to treat yourself or someone else, there are spa packages that combine a number of treatments into a session lasting several hours or even all day. Whether you choose to have a basic massage or go all out and make a day out of it, you will definitely enjoy the fantastic treatments and attentiveness of the staff. Spa resorts train their staff to treat each guest like royalty which is exactly how you will feel after being attended to at one of these luxurious destinations.
